The Markiezenhof Historical Centre offers a stage for cartoonists and illustrators of satirical political posters or satirical cartoons to show off their works, but for the time being only examples from The Netherlands and Belgium are on show. Every year, works by one of the most renowned cartoonists is highlighted. The Markiezenhof plays a significant role in recognising the art of political satire and cartoons as an artistic registration of important (inter)national political, social, economic and humanitarian themes.
